C@PSite Student Intern Position (Computer Based Trainer) – Secondary
Wage: $15/hr
Hours Per Week: 35hrs
Term: July 3rd – August 25th (start/end dates flexible based on employee’s availability)
The Wentworth Community C@P Site and Library provides service, support & enhancement to its members. The goal is to provide affordable public access & foster growth in the use of technology for the benefit of the community.
We are accepting applications for a summer student to work at the C@P site located within our facility. This position includes, but is not limited to; IT services, individual and group computer lessons, weekly children’s programs (including a STEM program and a sports night), light librarian duties, such as; sorting books, carding books and organizing the library. The position also requires the individual to help with events and programming within the Learning Centre. The employee will be based in the Wentworth Learning Centre.
This position requires a self-sufficient individual who has outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills. Experience and knowledge of technology would be considered an asset for this position. Applicants must be full-time students aged 15-30, currently enrolled in secondary school with the intention of returning to school on a full-time basis during the 2023-2024 academic year. The successful candidate must be able to pass a criminal record check if requested.
